Terry Walker-Smith is a native of Knoxville and mother of four sons. She founded Mothers of Mission Survivors (M.O.M.S.) after the death of two of her four sons, Djusunsay Freeman and Christopher Mcbath. She started M.O.M.S. to help mothers through their journey of grief to cope, heal, and rebuild after the death of a child. A City Gun Leader for Moms Demand Action, an Everytown Survivor, & a recipient of the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Commemorative Commission Advocacy Award, Terry continues to advocate for other mothers in the city of Knoxville.
